The catering building at Suvarnabhumi
Airport - Bangkok's New International Airport - will cover an area of 70,000 square meters consisting of two main compounds for offices, operations and production, as well as for equipment repository. These catering facilities will serve international flights operating at the new airport while the existing quarters at Bangkok International Airport will be used as a homebase to support the production at Suvarnanbhumi Airport.
During the first phase the new catering will be able to produce between
65,000 - 70,000 meals daily and it is expected to reach its maximum capacity of 85,000 meals a day within the next 10 years.
In May 2004 the Joint Venture JV GSP got the order to supply the Material Handling System. After the CPCS Catering in Hongkong (1996) Gilgen Logistics can equip therefore the second Catering in the Asian area with their equipment.
The contract includes the delivery and installation of a bin conveying system with automatic bin buffers, two pallet conveying systems, the GN equipment and the Control and Monitoring System CMS.
In November 2004 all equipment manufactured in Europe was shipped to Thailand in eight containers. |
